This app is still a terrific practice tool. I have all of the other Lumbeat apps and I still come back to this one for basic beats!

Have to turn the phone off to reset it. Plays for a few minutes then will not make any sound. Have to turn off my phone and back on again.

Love this simple, powerful app… much better than others I’ve used!

As a music teacher, I feel that this metronome app is fun for me and my students. They can learn concepts of meter and subdivision accent patterns while exploring various percussion instruments, being creative and having fun! Awesome achievement! Two questions: 1) Why do the sixteenth-note pairs swing instead of the eight-note pairs? Please allow the user to choose which group they want to swing. 2) Why do you set 100% swing to a dotted rhythm rather than listing it as 75% as Logic and other software companies do? This confused me a lot at first. I needed a calculator to find my favorite swing types: triplet, quintuplet (eighth - dotted eight), golden ratio. Please see Logic and Finale and consider making this change. I love the app but wish I knew how to use it better.

Without midi support ... no future

Overall this app is great. Is there a way to customize Beat Hider function? For example if I wanted to make it 1:1 or randomize it, is there a way to do that? If not that would be a great update! Another one thing that would make it excellent for me would be the ability to set it to change subdivisions after a specified amount of bars that you set. For example you set it up so one bar is in 1/4 notes then the next two bars are 8th notes, then a bar of triplets then the next three bars are in 16th notes. You set it and it flows one after the other so you connect from one subdivision to the next. The app called SpeakBeat has this feature and it makes practicing trickier and more fun. On your app I see the randomizer which is cool, but I don’t see anything like what I just described SpeakBeat offers, unless I’m missing something.

Bought the paid version so I could save my drum patterns and settings. Cannot figure it out. The “save” button is greyed out. Please help.

This metronome has just about everything. Varying tempo, different beats, different sound. I can even make it sound just like a metronome. It also has a feature called Hide A Beat. If you have ever got in to real timing studies you know the best way to really perfect it is to have it play along and then hide a measure. If you come back in on time you are getting there. If not then you know what you have to work on. I will admit that I am a Lumbeat fanboy so I have most of Luis’s apps. The only thing that I wish this had was the foot switch start with a PC13 command like all his other apps. Plus he is very responsive to glitches and stuff. Go to Lumbeat.com and write him a note. Chances are you will get it fixed. Go Pro though, it’s the best.

This Super Metronome app is just that SUPER! A lot of flexibility nice sounds!

I’ve been using this app live and it sounds great through my PA system. I wish it had midi so I could control it with my blue board pedal.

This app is awesome! But we need more bars(4-8) and more tracks(4-6). 5 sounds simultaneously would be nice guys and I’d pay a $1 for these feature to be added because when your playing live it sound repetitive because there’s not enough measures to change the groove in multiple bars. I use it as a click track and drum track for church gigs. As far as complexity complaints, try using GarageBands drum machine and come back and tell me this is not user friendly cuz it really is!!!

I can build out a rhythm or beat that I am trying to master or tighten up and can play along to the loop for as long as needed and save the file and come back to later. As I get better I can speed up the bpm as well. My favorite drumming app!

Yes, the sounds are good. However If you don’t mind spending your time fiddling through this app to find how it works then, fine -go for it. Otherwise you end up spending valuable time trying figure out some of it’s basic features because it really isn’t all that straight forward...I mean just a basic one page (manual)list of features would help allot And like other reviewers have mentioned you can’t seem to delete a saved edited pattern completely and renaming is a kind hit and miss , so it comes off as a bit glitzy. Therefore I would recommend this App if you just wanna enter & playback beats, which I get is it’s main purpose -and great for that- but I can’t recommend it for its editing features and lack of a some kind of simple user manual. Also an export feature feature would be really nice nice like the SoftDrummer app this developer offers.

Been using this app on my iPhone for two days now. Every time I leave the app to do something else on my phone, the sound vanishes. Can’t find anything in the app to fix this other than rebooting my phone. Clicking on the link here to get app support just takes me to marketing for other products. Frustrated.

If I get a voice call while using this app itself and I go silent. Then I just need to restart it and it's five. Not a big deal just annoying. Please fix the bugs! I love using this app!

Eats battery... No way to turn off, runs always. Not listed in setup with other apps. Needs an off button. About to unistall because of this. Nice app other wise.

I have problems with this app, but cannot contact the developer. There is no contact available on the website, and unless you have a G+, Twitter, or FB account, you can’t reach them. If they begin to offer general contact for support, and fix their broken apps, I’d be glad to give them a favorable rating.

I use to love this app and used it at rehearsals when our drummer was unavailable, but now it's unusable. Kick drum isn't the same tempo as the snare regardless of beats. I thought I messed up something in the settings at first, reinstalled, matched every setting the same as iPad, but nothing helped. Like other reviewers, is it specific to certain iPhone models? Works fine on iPad, but doesn't do me any good in my situation. Website looks like developer has moved on from this app promoting other apps instead.

This is a great app! It took a little while to figure out that to get swing I had to change the subdivision. I still would love to see a set with brushes.

Have the full paid version, which had been working great up until the new update, and now I'm getting a black screen where the style and drum pattern lists should be. App is useless at this point. I'd like to see a fix soon, as this was otherwise a great app.

I also have the full paid version. After the 1.3 upgrade recently, the instrument selection is blacked out on my iPhone. You have to blindly swipe to change anything. Hope it gets fixed soon, I really like it when it works.

Pro version pop ups kept appearing so I bought it and now the app crashes every time I use it. I have an iphone 5. Please fix bugs and notify us to update

Easy to find musical and inspiring grooves. If you like organic drums that has decent dynamics and is very intuitive then this is a great drum app to own.

This app is good for use as a pocket metronome but since the release of the iPhone 6 plus the rendering of the app on the bigger screen is messed up. Two play buttons, columns misaligned, etc. the developer needs to look at this on an iPhone 6 plus emulator and fix.

Occasional crashes. Cannot delete new sounds sets on iPad. I can delete on iPhone. Would like tambourine added to sounds. Would like shuffles to be added to grooves.

And better than ever the audio problems are fixed and I am a happy camper thank U thank U thank U now off to buy your other Apps!

This app is used every Friday and Saturday night until my 4S got the IOS 8.0.2 upgrade causing this app not to output any sound. The best thing is the developers had a quick fix in no time flat and I'm back up and running. Awesome job!!!

Recently updated for iOS 8, the app work great and is a lot of fun to practice with. I will be using it with my guitar students!

I had it working nicely prior to the latest iOS version. Then it shut the sound of the iPad and i have to go to the settings to get it working again. Happened yesterday and now it back on..earned another star and review.. thanks

Happy to give this app 5 stars again. It's a great metronome/drum machine. It's been very useful with odd meters and nice grooves. Lots of presets as well.
